10u wins on mercy rule

Cavalry Baseball 10u finished off their season in a big way by bringing home Gold in their first NCS tournament!

The weekend started off with two pool play games on Saturday where the team went 1-1 and ended up 8th seed headed into Sunday Bracket play.

The team played NTX Razorbacks where they jumped out to a early lead. The team racked up 13 hits on the day where Wyatt, Daniel, Jaxon & Tyler each collected multiple hits. The base paths were also on fire with the team stealing 14 bases.  Not only was our offense on fire but our defense held up strong with a amazing starting pitcher in Daniel. Over the course of 4 innings of work, Daniel struck out 7 and only allowed 1 walk. The team would finish with a score of Cavalry Baseball 10 NTX Razorbacks 5

Next up in bracket play was NTX Kings for the championship game. The team was eager to go out with a bang and that they sure did! Holding NTX Kings to only 2 runs, the team took a 5-2 score and tripled that in the bottom of the 3rd and forced the mercy rule to come into play.  The boys scored 13 runs over the course of the 3rd inning. Jaxson S. hit a inside the park home run that ultimately took the score to end the game 18-2.

These boys had an amazing first fall season together and we can't wait to see how they do this spring. Thank you to all the parents & our amazing coaches for this fall season!
