By Melissa Melissa, 10/29/20, 11:30AM CDT

BIG Weekend for 10u & 12u

10u & 12u both went to Crowley and came home as Champs!

After going 2-0 into bracket play, 10u took on Texas Outlaws.  After an early lead, Cavalry boys didn't look back. Game was won 7-2 and the team moved onto the Championship game.

Championship game between Cavalry and Giants baseball was set for under the lights. Cavalry fired up the offense in the first inning scoring 5 runs. From there, the boys scored at least 2 in every inning and came way with a 11-7 win and some GOLD!

12u lost both their pool play games. First game of the day the boys weren't quite awake yet and took a 3-8 loss vs Texas Outlaws. 2nd game they were much better but still got the loss in a close game with Texans Baseball 4-5. This put us at a 4th seed going into bracket play.

Going up against Texas Showtime they came out in full force knowing it was win or go home. Holding Showtime to 0 runs the first two innings and having our offense was key to the win. The boys scored max runs of 7 in the 2nd inning.  Showtime didn't go down without a fight though and scored 4 runs in the top of the 3rd before time expired. Final score of 8-4 Cavalry.

Heading into the semifinal gamee vs 1 seed TX Outlaws, the boys knew it would be tough fight from the pool play they played against the Outlaws earlier in the day.  Cavalry started it off with 2 runs in the first & 3 runs in the second and never looked back! Winning 6-2 the team moved onto the championship game.

Going into the championship game vs Texans Baseball, the team knew they had a great shot to win it all from the game they played earlier in the day.  It was a back and forth game and the boys were down 5-4 going into the 3rd inning. They knew it was now or never and scored 2 runs bringing the score to 6-5 Cavalry. Both teams brought in the big guns for the last and final inning. Texans kept the bats and runs at bay and didn't allow one run to score the 4th inning. It was high intensity going into the Texans final at bat with time expired. 3 up 3 down and the boys celebrated with a dog pile on the mound!
